Objectives: The primary objective of the project is to enhance the capacity of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) in procurement and supply chain management. This involves providing technical assistance to strengthen the MOHFW’s ability to efficiently procure and distribute essential health commodities, ensuring timely and adequate supply to meet the healthcare needs of the population.

Achievement: A significant achievement of the project was the development of a comprehensive “Procurement Manual.” This manual will serve as a standardized guideline for procurement processes in 64 Civil Surgeon offices and 489 Upazila Health Complexes across the country. By providing clear procedures and best practices, the manual aims to streamline procurement activities, improve efficiency, and ensure transparency in the acquisition of essential health commodities.
