Title: Technical Assistance to DGHS.

Project period: 2023-2024

Activity: IPLS Executive Director took part in the execution of the project. The project involved providing technical assistance to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Specific activities included:

·         Strengthening procurement functions within the Health Service Division and Health Education Division.

·         Supporting the implementation of e-Government Procurement (e-GP) by reviewing tender evaluation reports for the Director General.

·         Developing a comprehensive Procurement Handbook to guide DGHS procurement personnel in adhering to the Public Procurement Act 2006 and Public Procurement Rules 2008.

Outcome: The project’s interventions resulted in several positive outcomes:

·         Enhanced efficiency and transparency in procurement processes.

·         Improved adherence to procurement regulations and guidelines.

·         Strengthened capacity of DGHS procurement personnel.

·         Accelerated procurement timelines for essential health supplies and services.

·         Increased public trust in the procurement system through greater accountability.
