Title: Regional Bamboo Research and Training Centre (RBRTC) Project.

Executing agency: Bangladesh Forest Research Institute (BFRI), Chittagong

Project period: 2017-2019

Objectives: To enhance the research capacity of BFRIC on bamboo research and product development, and to disseminate technologies to the end user.

Activities: We successfully prepared and tendered four packages of goods, primarily focusing on laboratory equipment, small equipment, and furniture. The procurement process was meticulously managed, including the development of detailed procurement plans and bid documents. We actively engaged in inviting bids, conducting pre-bid meetings, and overseeing the opening and evaluation of bids. Subsequently, contracts were awarded to the most responsive bidders. All tendering processes were conducted electronically through the e-GP system of the Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) web portal. This efficient approach enabled us to procure four packages of laboratory equipment and furniture, valued at a total of 14 crore Taka, utilizing the e-GP system of CPTU.
